Everything in our studio starts the same way: with intention.

When we begin designing a new jacket, it’s not with trends in mind.
It’s with a clear question: How do we make something that will be worn
for years? That will improve with time? That someone will reach for
again and again?

SKETCHING THE VISION

The process begins at the drawing table. Pencil to paper, we explore
silhouettes. The goal isn’t complexity—it’s precision. A jacket that
drapes beautifully, that moves with the body, that works as a solo
piece and as a layer. Every line is intentional. Every curve is tested.
We sketch, erase, sketch again. Sometimes for weeks.

Once we have the silhouette locked, we move to pattern-making. Precise
measurements. Mathematical grading to ensure every size fits perfectly.
This is where the foundation of quality is set.

SOURCING THE MATERIAL

We source our linen from carefully selected European suppliers who share
our commitment to quality. 100% French linen is our foundation—breathable,
durable, and designed to improve with age.

When the fabric arrives at the studio, we test it. We feel it. We drape
it on the table, we check the weight, we examine the weave. Does it move
the way we imagined? Does it feel like what we promised? Only when every
question is answered with a “yes” do we proceed to production.

CUTTING AND CONSTRUCTION

Every jacket begins with cutting. Precision here means everything. We cut
each piece by hand, following our patterns exactly. Waste is minimized.
Respect for the material is paramount.

The pieces move through construction with intention:

• Pattern pieces are aligned with grain direction for optimal drape
• Interfacing is applied by hand for crisp structure
• Seams are sewn on our professional equipment, then finished by hand
• Every button is set with purpose

HAND-FINISHING: WHERE CRAFT HAPPENS

This is where the jacket becomes an Atelier Maison piece. After
construction, everything is hand-finished. Seams are trimmed with precision.
Edges are finished by hand. Button holes are bound by hand. Buttons are
set with care.

We take time here. There’s no rushing this stage. A jacket deserves hands
working deliberately on every detail.

QUALITY CONTROL

Before a jacket leaves the studio, it passes through rigorous quality
control. We check every seam. We look for inconsistencies. We try it on.
We move in it. We make sure it feels right.

If something isn’t perfect, we fix it. No exceptions.

The entire process takes 4-6 weeks. Could we make it faster? Maybe. But
speed isn’t the goal. Perfection is.
